It’s the year 1965. The children are brought to a supermarket they are all familiar with but that looks very different. They are all invisible. No one can see them but they can see everything. They witness a four- year- old girl walking around with her mother. They hear the little girl say“look mommy that man looks like chocolate” in response to observing a black man. Mortified, her mother covered the little girl’s mouth saying “don’t you ever say something like that again. It’s not right!” Confused and upset by her mother’s response, the little girl holds her head down and starts to cry.
